Terms of Use

Last updated: March 2026

These terms govern your use of greenlit.cv (“greenlit,” “the Service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using greenlit, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

What greenlit Does

greenlit is an AI-powered resume scanning and coaching service. You upload a resume, and our system analyzes it for ATS (Applicant Tracking System) compatibility, impact language, and clarity. We provide scores, suggestions, and — for paid users — industry-specific coaching and bullet rewrites.

greenlit uses artificial intelligence to generate its analysis. AI-generated suggestions are not professional career advice, employment counseling, or a guarantee of any hiring outcome. Our analysis is a tool to help you improve your resume. Hiring decisions are made by people, not by scores.

Your Account and Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use greenlit. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

If you join our waitlist or create an account, you are responsible for providing accurate information and keeping your email address current. We may communicate with you about the Service at the email address you provide.

Your Content

You own your resume. Uploading your resume to greenlit does not transfer any ownership or rights to us. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your resume content.

License to process. By uploading a resume, you grant us a limited, temporary license to process its text content solely for the purpose of performing your requested scan or coaching analysis. This license ends when your scan is complete and the content is discarded from our systems.

Your responsibility. You must have the right to upload any content you submit. Do not upload resumes or documents belonging to other people without their permission. Do not upload content that is illegal, fraudulent, or violates any third party's rights.

Our Content

The greenlit name, logo, design, and website content are our property or used under license. The analysis, scores, and suggestions we generate for you are part of the Service and are provided for your personal use.

You may use your scan results however you like — they're generated for you. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially repurpose our scoring system, coaching methodology, or prompt architecture.

Free and Paid Services

Free tier: Our ATS scan is provided at no charge. We reserve the right to limit the number of free scans per user or to modify the free tier's scope at any time, with reasonable notice where practical.

Paid tier: Industry coaching, bullet rewrites, and advanced features are available for a fee. Pricing, payment terms, and refund policies will be clearly stated at the time of purchase. All payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use greenlit to process content that is not a resume or professional document.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract our AI prompts, scoring algorithms, or system architecture.
  • Abuse the free tier by creating multiple accounts or using automated tools to circumvent usage limits.
  • Upload content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or violates any law or third-party rights.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, its servers, or networks.
  • Use the Service to build a competing product.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these terms.

AI and Accuracy Disclaimer

greenlit uses third-party AI models (including Google Gemini and Anthropic Claude) to generate resume analysis. While we design our prompts and scoring criteria carefully, AI-generated output has inherent limitations:

  • Scores are directional, not absolute. A score of 8.4 does not mean your resume is objectively 84% effective. Scores indicate relative strengths and areas for improvement based on our criteria.
  • Suggestions may not apply to every situation. Industry norms vary. AI can miss context that a human would catch. Use our suggestions as input to your own judgment, not as a replacement for it.
  • We do not guarantee outcomes. Using greenlit does not guarantee you will receive an interview, job offer, or any specific result. Resume quality is one factor among many in hiring.
  • AI may produce errors. The analysis may occasionally misinterpret content, miss relevant context, or provide suggestions that don't apply to your specific situation. Review all suggestions critically.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

greenlit is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the results will be accurate or reliable.

In no event shall greenlit, its founders, employees, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of the Service — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless greenlit and its founders, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

Service Changes and Termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time. For significant changes that affect paid features, we will provide reasonable notice.

We may terminate or suspend your access if you violate these terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.

Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these terms or the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Louisiana, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by posting a notice on the site or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
